Enjoy the Fountain Valley Tree Lighting this Weekend

What are you doing this weekend? Well, it’s time to wipe out your ugly Christmas sweaters and Santa hats and head over to the Fountain Valley tree lighting event. On Saturday, December 3rd The City of Fountain Valley and the Recreation & Community Services Division will be hosting its annual tree lighting ceremony and pictures with Santa event,

The picture will cost only $2 and the rest of the fun is free and open to the public. The day will feature a snow zone with imported snow,crafts, games, food vendors and so much other fun! Just be sure to bring a jacket and gloves, because the snow will be cold. There will also be a surprise visitor from the North Pole (yes, it’s Santa, just don’t’ tell the little ones).

Participate in the Fountain Valley FREE Recycling Event

The Fountain Valley Community Foundation in association with the Orange Coast Computers & Recycling center will be hosting a FREE Recycling Event this October. The event will include FREE paper shredding and other electronic recyclables like old hardware and phones. The recycling will be begin at 9:00 am and last until 4pm. The shredding portion will also begin at 9am but stop at noon.

This community event can be an excellent way to teach your children about the importance of recycling while also getting rid of old electronics and paper work. Join the Conversation About Aging with a Speech in Fountain Valley

This September the City of Fountain Valley will play host to a seminar on aging with acclaimed speaker Wendy Lustbader. The event will feature breakfast and have leaders discussing the conversation on aging and health care. May Events in Fountain Valley

Come celebrate with the city of Fountain Valley this May with two great community events. The first event is a Cinco de May Party held at The Center at Founder’s Village. The Cinco de Mayo festivities will feature food, games, live entertainment and much more. Tickets for the event cost $7. After the Cinco de Mayo party, Fountain Valley will host a Market in the Park certified farmer’s market event with food trucks and entertainment. If you are looking to get more involved in your neighborhood and meet local residents, these are two great events to attend.

Fountain Valley: Attend the Market in the Park Staring in May

The Fountain Valley recreation and community services department hosts a yearly farmers market and food truck event and 2016’s festivities are right around the corner. The weekly certified farmers market and food truck event which features various vendors, and fun entertainment is set to start the first Thursday in May (which is only two weeks away).
